Drew Jones

Fox Sports News | Presenter | Sports Journalist

I’m a reporter at Fox Sports News in Melbourne.

Along with my teammates in the Melbourne office, I help shape the AFL Tonight bulletin (7pm FSN/Fox Footy) Monday to Friday, while also producing content for the 24 news cycle.

I have been involved with the program since its inception at the start of the 2016 AFL season. I present the program a couple of nights a week, and act as the senior AFL reporter on a day to day basis.

In 2017 I took on a new role as a video journalist. I now shoot, edit and produce all of my own content when required in a competent fashion.

In 2021 I travelled to Tokyo to cover the Olympic Games for Fox Sports News & Sky News, working as a reporter and a VJ.

When time permits, I have been a contributor for the Fox Sports and Fox Footy websites in a written capacity, while also contributing to the Fox Footy podcast in previous years.

I’m a co-founder of ‘The Nest’ which is a podcast/patreon service for West Coast Eagles fans.

I have a passion for being involved in live sport. I worked as an AFL boundary rider for K Rock for three seasons and worked on sideline for Fox Cricket in the Marsh Cup.

I have also called cricket, WAFL and basketball for SportFM in Perth.

After completing the Diploma of Broadcast at WAAPA in WA, I was awarded the first ever Fox Sports News internship. I moved to Sydney in early 2014 and completed the three month internship, and stayed on at Fox as a freelance reporter until being promoted in January 2016, and subsequently moved to Melbourne.

In WA I worked for a short time at Channel 7 as a sports reporter.

In 2012/13 I worked in radio, hosting a sports variety show four times a week on SportFM.
