Leckie began his professional career with Adelaide United in the A-League before moving on to play for clubs in Germany, England, and the United States. He has also made over 60 appearances for the Australian national team, representing the country at the 2014 and 2018 World Cups.
In addition to his success on the pitch, Leckie has also had a successful career off the field, earning a degree in business and finance from the University of South Australia.
